Website Prints GalleryOk so this annoying little creature kept me up most of the night last night. I was too lazy to get up and try to find it, so I let it be in hopes that it would go away. So, i wake up today and go throughout my day kinda tired and what not. I get home way late, have a crazy day, and the first thing I hear is this cricket again. The thing about it is, it's up high inside of the roof sort of, underneath the over hang. So, I tell my neibhors who share my wall that I'm going on the roof to hunt it down. Determined to get a good night sleep. I get up there, and i'm spraying away with some bug repelant, and the window from the other neihbors is right there below and off to the side a little. Well, they must have thought I was trying to break into my own house, and started yelling things in spanish and telling one of the other ones to call the police. LOL. That was fun trying to calm them down and talk with them in spanish to re-assure them that I do infact live in the house of the roof I'm on...and that I'm just trying to get this darn cricket.
After it was all said and done, i think i got the chirping to stop, atleast it aint making noise right now. I'll let you guys know in the morning how my night went.
Over and out,
Slightly annoyed sleepy man

I guess you have some very different crickets over there. Was it one like that=> [link] ?
Well...HAHAHA, funny story. Good for you that you and your neighbours have at least one language in common. What would had happen if they were recently moved to over there from Germany for example!?
Just glad they haven't been from Texas....they'd had prolly shot you off of that roof...and ask who you are after that.
Crickets...Hm, I am glad we do not have to deal with such critters. Pretty much often there are Wasp building their nest under the roof, but in winter they die anyways and if you do not disturb them its no problem.
Mice can be up there too, if its warm and comfy enough, but they make no noise. I have been told al you can hear at night if you listen closely is a very quiet patter of tiny feet.
Worst you can ever have here is a stone marten. They make noise up there as if they ae rockstars destroying a hotel suit, lol, and you have to keep a close eye on your car, cos they like to chew on the brake hose and such parts.
I don't think you made that cricket leave by spraying some bug repelant...but I think it flew, cos it thought the neighbours meant him(the cricket) to be the sneaky cat burglar breaking into your casa, lol. It prolly flew to Mexico.
Well, I hope you had a good sleep anyways then.
Texas hahaha, yeah that place scares me too
Comparable to a ferret. Looks like this [link] [link]
Yeah, they like to snuggle somewhere where its warm...like the engine of a freshly parked car.
And when they are in/under a car they see all these things they can chew on...like brake hose (not the cables, the hose with the brake liquid in it). So if you have one you have to watch out for that.
I have no problem with wasps. They are usefull and if you do not scare them they don't attack you. When its the time for the queen to build a new colony you just have to watch out that she doesn't start building a nest somewhere indoors, lol.
Not sure if the place Texas scares me...but some peeps from there
thats an incredibly hilarious story XD
i havent been getting much sleep either - but i dont know the reason >.<
but when i do sleep, its great! ah, its hibernation^^
I'm sending a little army of them to you, pal.
but i need sleep first
