I can see that you are using light not just to make an effect, but also to make a component of the image, which I use in some of my abstracts.

Some people will say that you have too much light, but I wont say that because i like experimenting with light too.

Also, the film grain (if thats not the snow) and those pieces of thread give the "old timer" effect to the picture.

With combining these two elements, you truly show the mixture of present and past, which is what you mainly wanted to do (by my opinion)

In other words...excellent.

Hey thanks so much for the comment. I liked hearing your idea and analysis of it. If I can make someone think with a piece of my work than that's something really awsome for me. I do have to ask, what did you mean by pieces of thread? I don't mean to ruin your thought on the piece in that aspect, but I don't think I used any thread. It was done about a year ago. This is part of a five piece terrain/abstract series that I did. This one here involved the main photograph, a 3d object I rendered, and then the special effects like the light effects that I did in photoshop. Was a great project for me. Thanks again!

Oh by the way, are you planning on putting up your abstract stuff?

Pieces of thread that i have seen are above and under the letter "R" in "Jesse R. Doyle".

I had abstracts in my old account, might as well upload them on this one.

Ah I got ya. Yeah I scanned the negative for the main photo at about 2400 ppi, so that's probably fuz or yeah, thread like you said. I never edited it out, kinda just fit. I'd like to see what ya got. Your using photoshop mostly for them?
