Advanced critique welcome.

This is my first digital space scene. I enjoyed making this and learned alot from it. I still have more to learn about space art, some stuff you see is so inspiring on here. I wanted to come up with my own, atleast one. So here it is.

Specs:
No photographs used for this image. Completely 3D and use of procedural textures.
Render Size- 40 x 66 inches at 150 ppi
Satallite and windmill modelled in 3DMax, Smoke stack modeled in Lw.

Thanks to Alyn for his good tutorial.
Also thanks to Zebravissimo for his tutorial.

Dude this is incredible!! Very thought provoking too, and true, this should be a poster to encourage the world to save itself or something. That is if reading it right. I'm seeing in it that we have the choice between a meteor, the sun turning into a black hole, global warming, or pollution................
Or maybe I'm thinking too much and its really just an incredibly breathtaking picture XD

Thanks! Actually this piece is definetly in reference to what's going on around the globe right now and the global warming issues that we are all going to have to face. The left side is alive and beatiful, the right side is dead, or on the verge of dying. The left side has clean energy (the windmill) and the right has dirty energy with the smoke stack factory on the bottom right there. The space section above was a bit complicated to show this idea I wanted between the two concepts but I hope I was able to achieve it a little bit. Thanks so much for the comment! :)

I love the upper advancement of space. Its like a little world of being lost yet found. I could stare forever into this and be forever at peace.

:wow: thanks so much! I'm fascinated that you like it that much. I really appreciate the support. Ya know this piece I always felt didn't get the right justification being on here so tiny because it prints almost 6 ft tall if you were to print it. Thanks again for such kind words :glomp:
