I think I will do the same to get comfortable with Houdini modeling tools: take on a project and going on with it while I do my usual things with XSI.
I kind of felt like a hypocrite during the modeling process though. I'm not a big fan of real guns, but I like fake ones...is that odd?
Yeah, I've been multi-tasking projects for awhile now. I enjoy the freshness of working on different projects. I was working between Max and Lightwave for awhile there, but lately I've only been strictly working withing Lightwave.
I'm multitasking too, and as I said I need a serious project to get my hands wet with Houdini.
So what are you considering for your serious project with Houdini? I'm very curious
Right now I have the free Apprentice version. If I like it, I'll switch to the Apprentice HD. I still think that a software like Houdini for 99$ is in the realm of the incredible, so I will really give it a try.
(ok maybe you wern't planning on it being enchanted hehe).
That sounds like a great idea. Yeah 99 bucks is amazing for software, especially like that.
It would be...although I don't plan on doing that anytime soon lol.
