Something that truly exists...
How many you are willing to bet that Jaguar has a better sense of his prey's actuality in the moment depicted?

This is a Fresco, about 3 by 3 foot. Painted so to be hung as sort of a diamond, not a square, but manipulated here for dA with PS. You may remember the reference?

Thanks for checking it out :)

Thanks my friend :)

I'd like to frame it for a wall, but it weighs at least 50lbs I'd say, so framing might be rather expensive.

Thanks for the comment :D

Oh, that looks really very good. Pretty cool how you have done it as fresco....
I remembered the reference just when I saw the small preview pic....but I dunno anymore wherefrom it really is. I think its an old classic animal-photography I had in one old magazine from the late 70's/early 80's or that I have seen it in the intro of an american TV show about wild animals with one nice white heard man. I dunno how the show was called in English, but the German title was "Im Reich der wilden Tiere". Prolly I am wrong on both, lol.
Uhm, isn't it a leopard and a baboon?

Just checked that TV shows was "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom" in English it seem...

Thanks Suumie! :D
You might be right about it being a Leopard...I wrote that artist comment and didn't really even put to much thought into what kind of cat it is.

Thanks bud!
I haven't posted any traditional work up for quite some time now. Had the opportunity to shoot a couple of things recently, so you might see some more.
This being my first fresco, I really enjoyed the process and the look and feel of the piece when it was done. It's set on a board, with a wire mesh to help adhere the fresco material. So it weighs i'd say at least 50 lbs. I'd like to get it framed so it could be hung...that is if it doesn't rip the wall apart that I hang it on  :lmao:

Wow, that's... heavy :D

I'm a total analphabet for what concerns traditional arts. I can't draw for the life of me... in fact, that's the main reason why, a looooot of years ago, I took on 3D. I wanted to draw, and I wasn't able to.
